Collaboration with the Manhattan Choral Ensemble
For Movement 7: Communion (From The Victoria Requiem)
16 x 16 inches unframed, 20 x 20 framed
Monotype print, oil pastel, & graphite
This movement pleads for peace and light upon the dead in the next life. How do we bestow rest and eternal life upon the dead in this life? We have funeral rites, we have memorials, we have monuments. Solid in color at the bottom but cloudlike and laced with gold at the top, this piece represents stone monuments fanning out into the great spirits they represent and their memory.
