Artist Statement
I create abstract art in a search for transcendence. There is a depth of feeling and universality only possible through a medium designed for the ineffable.
Common threads in my work are time, memory, and stories passed down. These patterns are outcrops of the search, themes revealed through working.
The searching and reaching is not toward escapism. It is keeping an active life and community, and then stilling oneself and creating, to ask what is most real.
